After Rob developed his art practice using pointillism, he found balance in creating minimalism pieces. With the duration of time and amount of detail that one pointillism piece took, he liked the use of negative space and simplicity he could use to make a minimalist painting.
With this style Rob focuses on black and white shapes and composition. In his figurative and portrait work, Rob also incorporates elements of Cubism theory in his unique style.
